Sirhind, Jan 10,:If you want to set up your own Hair styling and beauty venture, train to become a hair and beauty expert or simply groom yourself and your family members. Taking a cue from PM Modi’s Skill Development Scheme, Creative Zone Academy & Salon has opened a centre at Sirhind, near Jaggi Complex, opposite Dana Mandi. The Academy was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Sardar Karnail Singh, DSP, Punjab Police.

Shaloo Gupta (Mrs Tricity, Mrs Chandigarh, Mrs India, and Brand Ambassador of Anti Corruption of India) was present as the Guest of Honour. She is a National Awardee, who got the Insaniyat Award from Balle TV, and Best Women Award from Chandigarh Administration.

Zia Ur Rehman. Director, Creative Zone Academy & Salon, said, “This is our 7th branch. The other branches are located in Zirakpur, Mohali, Kharar, Malerkotla, Bhopal and Kashmir. We want to help the families of martyrs of farmers protest and Indian Army by training their children free of cost, so that they become financially independent.”

Manjot Singh, Director, Creative Zone Academy  & Salon said, “The new centre is built on a 3000 sq area. Free Government Courses will be offered to the children from poor families. First 20 admissions will be given 50 discount in fee. This is first such academy in Sirhind, where free hair cutting is being offered for next 15 days.”

He further said, “The Central and State governments have been giving a push to entrepreneurship development. This Academy is a step in that direction. This startup based at Zirakpur will provide job opportunities to people.”

“We will certainly work hard to make the business model a success. Apart from focusing on the business growth, we also have a motive of social welfare. We are going to focus on economically weaker sections, particularly women, who want to work and earn, but do not have money or avenue to gain skills. Creative Zone Academy will provide beauty courses to such women at highly subsidized rates and free courses to those who cannot afford the fee,” said Ashraf Ali.

The academy has started free door to door consultancy to economically weaker women, who cannot attend courses but are interested in gaining skills in beauty industry. At Creative Zone, well trained staff delivers practical training modules under the expert guidance and leadership of the three young entrepreneurs.

“We have tied up with few NGOs and will soon start grooming workshops, as well as actual personal grooming sessions for people living in slum areas, as they do not have access to good personal hygiene. The beauty industry is growing fast and a lot of trained people are required in the industry. I am happy that our Sirhind branch has started with the help of the government. The salon has facilities of permanent hair treatment, hair transplant without surgery, permanent hair extension, permanent nail art, tattoo and spa,” said Zia Ur Rehman.
